DEF

[A] depression that develops when preteens and teens spend a great deal of time on social media sites, such as Facebook, and then begin to exhibit classic symptoms of depression.

OBS

In a 2012 study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, researchers “did not find evidence supporting a relationship between [social networking site] use and clinical depression.” They concluded that “counseling patients or parents regarding the risk of “Facebook Depression” may be premature.”

DEF
