Dans la fonction publique canadienne, «présélectionner» ou «faire une sélection préliminaire» désignent le fait de n'admettre comme candidats à une nomination que les postulants qui font partie de la zone de concours ou de recrutement, selon le cas, et qui répondent aux exigences fondamentales de l'énoncé de qualités.
