As a follow-up to the Symposium on Language Data on Official-Language Minorities, which brought out the need to promote exchanges of research and information and to improve co-ordination among researchers, an Interdepartmental Working Group was set up to study these questions. Comme suite au Symposium - Données linguistiques sur les minorités de langue officielle ayant fait ressortir la nécessité de favoriser l'échange de recherches et d'information ainsi que d'améliorer la coordination entre les chercheurs, un Groupe de travail interministériel a été mis sur pied pour étudier ces questions.
