La haveuse type DTF à double tambour (...) est équipée de 2 systèmes d'entraînement d'effort 300 kN chacun, à frein incorporé de 450 kN. Elle se hale sur une chaîne prisonnière des supports de rehausses (système Dynatrac). Un treuil auxiliaire hydraulique assure en permanence un effort de retenue de 200 kN par l'intermédiaire d'une chaîne sans fin. Comme le havage n'est réalisé qu'en descendant, le treuil sert à remonter la haveuse en tête de taille en cas de panne.
