The Lake Shippers' Clearance Association is a non-incorporated mutual association that operates as a clearance house for grain documents, somewhat on the principle of a bank clearing house. La Lake Shippers'Clearance Association est une société coopérative non constituée qui fait fonction de chambre de compensation pour les titres de grain; son fonctionnement ressemble un peu à celui d'une chambre de compensation bancaire.
