The generic decommissioning planning process can be applied to all types of licensed activities. For example, the decommissioning plan for a small facility with few residual hazards (such as a particle accelerator) may consist of a brief summary of a single-phase, relatively low-cost project that will draw on operating budgets, and employ standard disassembly, decontamination and radiation protection procedures in the completion of one or two work packages.

CONT
