Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism. This program provides financial assistance for the annual costs of operating libraries established under The Public Libraries Act. Assistance is based on population and municipal contribution. Calculations are done separately for each municipality. This program supports improvements to the quality and scope of library service in rural Manitoba.

Culture, Patrimoine et Tourisme Manitoba. Afin de permettre à un plus grand nombre de Manitobains d'accéder aux services de bibliothèques locales, la province verse une subvention aux municipalités qui établissent pour la première fois un service de bibliothèque en application de la partie II ou III de la Loi sur les bibliothèques publiques. Le programme Subventions de fondation pour les bibliothèques rurales a pour but de garantir que les résidents des municipalités qui établissent un service de bibliothèque pour la première fois aient une collection de livres de base à leur disposition et d'encourager la création d'un réseau plus vaste et plus efficace de bibliothèques.
