The Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB), part of the Ministry of Education, works within a legislative mandate to support the regulatory structure that ensures that educators in the K[kindergarden]-12 school systems in British Columbia meet and maintain the standards of competence and conduct required to keep students safe and foster public trust and confidence in the teaching profession.

The TRB was created to support the implementation of the Teachers Act. Responsibilities of the TRB were formerly held by the BC College of Teachers, which existed from January 1, 1988 to January 9, 2012.
