[A] multiple item paper-pencil test assessing the grade level of adults who have long been out of school. Scoring is based on what students from a particular grade level should retain in terms of verbal and numerical skills. Used for employee selection for positions requiring verbal communication or clerical skills, in determination of school levels for trade or labor unions, and for issuance of competency cards.
