Il ne faut pas confondre chaleur et température. Une quantité de chaleur est une grandeur extensive (mesurable), la température est une grandeur intensive (repérable). Pour faire évaporer deux litres d'eau à 100 °C, il faut deux fois plus de chaleur que pour un seul litre; les quantités de chaleur s'additionnent, elles sont mesurables. Ajouter un litre d'eau à 100 °C ne permet pas d'obtenir de l'eau à 200 °C, ni même de l'évaporer : la température est un repère. 4, record 1, French, - chaleur
