La technique de la [...] fenêtre de doublage est courante dans les pays froids [...] où elle est prévue à la construction. Il s'agit d'une fenêtre complète avec bâti dormant et vantail ouvrant qui se pose en principe à l'intérieur de la pièce [...] ou en applique sur le mur intérieur. On commet un anglicisme quand on dit «châssis double» pour désigner une fenêtre qui se pose devant une autre pour mieux protéger une pièce contre le froid extérieur.
