The techniques may also be applied to decision-making meetings where a specific outcome is desired (e.g., resolution of a conflict or dispute). ... facilitation: Simplest form of assisted negotiation. A third party assists disputants to negotiate a settlement, focusing almost entirely on the process. The facilitator ensures that the time and place of meetings are agreed upon, insures that minutes of the meetings are kept and may act as moderator.
