La rTMS est utilisée en neurologie pour le traitement de la douleur et en psychiatrie dans les troubles de l'humeur, les troubles anxieux et les hallucinations auditives dans la schizophrénie [...]. L'appareil fabrique un signal magnétique par le biais d'une bobine appliquée sur la tête du patient, sur le cortex préfrontal antérieur. Ce signal dépolarise les neurones qui se trouvent en regard et modifie leur activité.
