Constant False-alarm Rate(CFAR). A constant false-alarm rate in the presence of variable levels of noise is usually a requirement placed on any modern radar. It is easily achieved in CW radars by use of filter banks. The energy reaching the filter bank is restricted either by automatic gain control or, when feasible, by limiting, and the thresholds in the circuitry following the filter bank are properly set with respect to the level in the total band. In a typical setting technique, random noise is injected into the amplifier that drives the filter bank, and each threshold is set to achieve the desired false-alarm rate. The level of noise is then varied and the threshold rechecked. If the limiting is proper, the false-alarm rate should not change. However, target signals in the absence of noise are unaffected, as they do not change the total energy present in the broad doppler spectrum sufficiently to reach the limiting level. 1, record 1, English, - constant%20false%2Dalarm%20rate

Risk Adjusted Assets(RAA). The values of assets after percentage risk weightings based primarily on the degree of default risk and, to a certain extent, country risk have been applied to each asset category. Risk-weighting factors are used in accordance with the capital adequacy requirements of the Basle Accord and are applied to each included category of both on and off-balance sheet assets. Risk-weightings for specific asset categories may vary from country to country within the broad guidelines of the BIS(Bank for International Settlements) agreement. Banks are required to keep a minimum of 8% capital against the value of their risk-adjusted assets. 2, record 5, English, - risk%2Dadjusted%20asset

The use of training statistics obtained from one geographic area to classify data from similar areas some distance away. 2, record 6, English, - signature%20extension
Record number: 6, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The alternative to depending on training sites for classification is to apply the concept of signature extension. This term refers to the assumption that a single, more or less constant, spectral signature may be defined as characteristic of any class, and that this signature has broad(universal) applicability to any scene in a region, or even worldwide. As a specific example, the signature for winter wheat at its maturation should be essentially the same for fields in the U. S. Great Plains, Argentina, the Ukraine, and Australia-provided such variables as differing air masses, Sun position, soil types, soil moisture, etc. are compensated for. If that proves true, then an unknown feature or class in a given scene anywhere should be classifiable by comparing its spectral properties(for a Landsat pixel, its multiband digital number [DN] values) to a "data bank" containing standard values for each of many classes. The closest fit of the unknown's DN [digital number] values to those of some one class in the bank is assumed to identify it. 3, record 6, English, - signature%20extension
