... An agent of a buyer or a seller who buys or sells stocks, bonds, commodities, or services, usually on a commission basis. 5, record 2, English, - stockbroker
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
At one time, there was a major distinction between securities firms. These were investment dealers on the one hand and stock brokers on the other, and individual securities firms tended to specialize as one or the other. This distinction has largely disappeared. In simple terms, an investment dealer acts as principal in securities transactions while a stock broker acts as agent. A securities firm acting as a dealer or principal owns the securities that are sold to or bought from investors. Thus, the securities are part of the firm's inventory. The difference between buying and selling prices is the dealer's gross profit or loss. On the other hand, the stock broker, as an agent, acts on behalf of the buyer or seller but does not own the securities. 6, record 2, English, - stockbroker

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
2, record 2, French, - courtier
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
6, record 2, French, - courtier
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
2, record 2, French, - courtier

A cashback mortgage loan provides a lump sum to the borrower when the mortgage is taken out. This may be a fixed amount or a percentage of the mortgage loan. Whether you’re a first timer buyer or moving home, buying a house can be an expensive time. Any extra cash to put towards a deposit, solicitor, estate agent or removal company's fees is very welcome. Whilst the cash up front may be tempting, it's important to weight up the full benefits of other types of mortgage loan, which may be better options for you in the longer term. 5, record 3, English, - cashback%20mortgage%20loan

An export buying agent is a representative of the foreign buyer or importer who is located in the country of export. The agent offers services in response to the buyer's request, such as identifying potential sellers and negotiating prices. He or she may also review samples and inspect the goods prior to export. The agent is typically compensated by a commission. This is similar to a resident buyer; however, the resident buyer is an employee of the foreign buyer. 1, record 4, English, - resident%20buyer

A "transferable" credit is one which specifically authorises the beneficiary to transfer part or whole of the credit to someone else. Thus, a buying agent abroad can arrange the purchase of goods on behalf of his principal on the footing that the principal opens a transferable credit in favour of the agent and the agent transfers the benefit of the credit to the suppliers of the goods. 3, record 5, English, - transferable%20credit
