In June 21, 2000, the Federal-Provincial Territorial Council of Ministers on Social Policy Renewal released a report entitled "Public Dialogue on the National Children's Agenda-Developing a Shared Vision". The report highlights the results of a public dialogue on this topic that took place in May 1999 and presents a shared vision for our children that can serve as a catalyst for action by all Canadians. Through this public dialogue, Canadians were asked for their views on a vision for our children and the goals they hope governments can achieve through the National Children's Agenda.

Le 21 juin 2000, le Conseil fédéral-provincial-territorial de ministres sur la refonte des politiques sociales a rendu public un rapport intitulé «Un débat public sur la Plan d'action national pour les enfants : Élaboration d'une vision collective». Le rapport fait état des résultats d'un débat public sur cette vision qui a été tenu en mai 1999. Il présente aussi une vision commune en faveur de nos enfants qui invite tous les Canadiens à poser des gestes concrets. Dans le cadre de ce débat public, on a demandé aux Canadiens d'exprimer leurs opinions sur une vision en faveur de nos enfants et de préciser les objectifs qu'ils espéraient que les gouvernements atteignent grâce au Plan d'action national pour les enfants.
