The Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity has tasked the Secrétariat à l'action communautaire autonome du Québec with organizing the awards.

This projet will test the Genuine Progress Index(GPI) tool in a small community and explore its potential for widespread use in other communities. The GPI surveys, reports and formulates data on life in the community according to six areas, including family, volunteerism, employment, security, land and agriculture and ecology.
