In December [2020], PSPC [Public Services and Procurement Canada] created the Task Force on Anti-Racism, Workplace Culture and Equity. The task force is led by departmental employees from the 4 designated employment equity groups : women, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities and visible minorities. It ensures that PSPC implements the initiatives and tools required to meet the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's new commitments on diversity and inclusion. In doing so, the task force is helping to change the workplace culture and to implement measures that will reduce barriers to inclusion.

Inuksuk(also spelled inukshuk, plural inuksuit) is a figure made of piled stones or boulders constructed to communicate with humans throughout the Arctic. Traditionally constructed by the Inuit, inuksuit are integral to Inuit culture and are often intertwined with representations of Canada and the North.... Inuksuit are placed throughout the Arctic landscape acting as "helpers" to the Inuit. Among their many practical functions, they are used as hunting and navigational aids, coordination points and message centres(e. g., they might indicate where food was stored).

The most important city of the province of Quebec, but not its capital. It occupies all the Île de Montréal(or Montréal Island), the biggest island of the Hochelaga Archipelago, at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Ottawa River. In 1535, Jacques Cartier visited the native village of Hochelaga on the slope of what he named "Mont Royal, "but by 1608, year of the foundation of Québec, all the Iroquoians were gone. At the same location, Ville-Marie was founded as a missionary colony by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve in 1642, though it was not until the conclusion of the "Grande Paix"(peace treaty) of 1701 that the colony stopped living in a permanent state of war. The establishment became the great centre of the fur trade and a starting point for expeditions by the coureurs de bois and voyageurs of the time. Trade from the port and agriculture on the surrounding plains contributed to the development of the city. By the 1820s, its population outnumbered that of the city of Québec. A dynamic merchant class began to invest and "St. James Street, "now "la rue Saint-Jacques, "became the country's financial centre. Around 1831, large-scale immigration enabled the population of British origin to be the majority in the city but, at the time of Confederation in 1867 and after, the francophones were again in the majority, gradually making the city the centre of the French culture in America. Erected as a municipality in 1832, the city underwent a steady growth with the addition of the territories of 35 towns over the years. If Toronto grabbed the title of "Business Capital" by the end of the 20th Century, Montréal remained the "Metropolis of Canada. Begun in 1995 by the National Capital Commission(NCC) under the general name of the Family Exchange Program, the objectives of the Celebrate Canada in the Capitals program are to foster a feeling of pride in Canada and to encourage Canadians to explore the rich culture and heritage of their country. In the beginning, the program enabled one randomly chosen family from each province and territory to visit Canada's Capital Region for five days during Winterlude, and twelve other families to travel to the Capital for Canada Day. During their stay, the winners were billeted with host families in the region, which added a friendly dimension to the program while giving participants a more connected exchange experience.

Au début, ce programme permettait à une famille par province et par territoire choisie au hasard de faire une visite de cinq jours dans la région de la capitale du Canada durant le Bal de Neige et à douze autres familles de voyager dans la capitale pour la fête du Canada. Pendant leur séjour, les gagnants étaient reçus par des familles d'accueil dans la région, ce qui ajoutait une dimension d'amitié au programme tout en donnant aux participants l'occasion d'un échange plus concret.

The paper deals with five different types of innovation. It addresses the question of reasonable risk taking in which managers need to engage in order to make their organizations more innovative, and to sustain that innovation. It then explores the extent to which public service culture, values and rules influence risk-taking and thereby innovation. The paper concludes with suggested steps that can be taken to develop guidance for risk management and thereby fostering a culture of continuous innovation.

The magazine went through many incarnations over the next century. Within a few years, Maclean changed the name to Busy Man's Magazine and began commissioning articles before settling on Maclean's in 1911.

Since 1997, the Celtic Colours International Festival has featured hundreds of musicians from all over the Celtic world and attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Cape Breton Island. In December 1996, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada announced, on behalf of the Honorable Pierre S. Pettigrew, Minister of Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC), the establishment of the Canada-Taiwan Student Exchange and Scholarship Program. The Program is based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 1994 between AUCC and the National Taiwan University, representing universities from Taiwan. The program would promote internationalization by broadening Canadian students’ knowledge and understanding of the culture and society of Taiwan.

Le programme favoriserait l'internationalisation en élargissant la connaissance et la compréhension de la culture et de la société de Taiwan chez les étudiants canadiens.

This project established a decentralized inventory of Aboriginal people for Citizenship and Immigration Canada to use for staffing summer, term and casual positions. The project also helped departmental employees become more aware of Aboriginal culture, and increased the interest of Aboriginal people in Citizenship and Immigration as an "employer of choice. "The summer-student project was part of the Public Service Commission's Federal Student Work Experience Program(FSWEP).

Ce projet a servi à établir un répertoire décentralisé d'Autochtones auxquels Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada peut faire appel pour doter des emplois d'été, des postes de durée déterminée et des postes temporaires. Il a en outre sensibilisé les employés du ministère à la culture autochtone en plus d'accroître l'intérêt des Autochtones envers le ministère comme «employeur préféré». Ce projet d'emplois d'été faisait partie du Programme fédéral d'expérience du travail pour étudiants (PFETÉ), de la Commission de la fonction publique.
