BARNAKIL Electronic Antifouling system. BARNAKIL is a system for inhibiting the attachment of barnacles and other aquatic life forms to near-surface underwater structures, such as boat hulls, thereby saving fuel and maintenance costs. The BARNAKIL system consists of up to 16 individual audio frequency electromagnetic transducers(resonators) distributed over the interior of the boat hull, microprocessor-controlled from a water resistant central unit. BARNAKIL virtually eliminates the accumulation of barnacles and mussels. Dramatic reductions in the attachment of algae and slime have been achieved. 1, record 31, English, - electronic%20antifouling%20system

The model assumes three separate phases in the behaviour of dredged material dumped in open water: 1) Convective descent. The dredged material forms a cloud whose descent is dominated by gravity. 2) Dynamic collapse. The cloud hits the sea floor or reaches a depth where its buoyancy becomes neutral and horizontal spreading dominates. 3) Passive transport-diffusion. At this stage, behaviour is determined more by ambient conditions than by the dynamics of the disposal operation. 1, record 43, English, - STFATE

A center hole in the nozzle breaks up accumulation in front of the hose to allow for easy passage. When the hose is withdrawn, the water jets flush the sewer clean. Light materials are flushed down the line and heavy materials are deposited in the manhole for easy removal with the sanitary Hydro-Vac. The return piping that carries the condensate accumulation back to the boiler and is installed below the level of the boiler water line is called a wet return. It is completely filled with water and does not carry air or steam. When the system is first filled with water or is cold, the pressure throughout the system is the same, or balances. A reduction of grazing by benthic invertebrates may also contribute to the accumulation of algae in acidified streams. In unstressed lake ecosystems there tends to be a continuous emergence of different insect species available to predators from spring to autumn. In acid-stressed ecosystems the variety of prey is reduced and periods may be expected to occur in which the amount of prey available to fish(and water fowl) is diminished. 1, record 56, English, - acid%2Dstressed
