Les classes de sensibilité des lacs à tampon plus élevé ont été déterminées en deux étapes. Nous avons d'abord formé arbitrairement deux sous-groupes selon la teneur en calcium: (5 [inférieur à] Ca++ [inférieur ou égal à] 15 mg 1-1) et (Ca++ [supérieur à] 15 mg 1-1). Ensuite, à l'intérieur de chaque sous-groupe (C-D et C'-D') nous avons analysé la distribution des fréquences des valeurs de CSI (fig. 5). Tel que précédemment nous avons déterminé pour le sous-groupe (C-D) une classe acidifiée (CSI: 2.5 à 3.5), une classe intermédiaire (CSI: 1.5 à 2.5) et une classe tamponnée (CSI: 0 à 1.5). Pour le sous-groupe (C'-D'), nous avons déterminé une classe acidifiée (CSI: 1.5 à 2.5) et une classe intermédiaire (CSI: 0 à 1.5)
