Announced in July 2019, the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot aims to address certain long‑standing labour market needs by helping employers attract and retain temporary foreign workers with Canadian work experience in specific occupations within the agri-food sector, specifically in the meat processing, greenhouse and mushroom production and livestock industries, by providing a dedicated pathway to permanent residence.
