L'aéroport de Manchester est sur le point d'installer un nouveau système de gestion automatique de l'ensemble de ses installations. L'ADIS (Airport Digital Information System) doit d'abord informer le personnel qualifié de tout mauvais fonctionnement. Petit à petit, le système gérera jusqu'au moindre aspect de l'aéroport, téléphone, affichage pour les passagers, contrôle des nuisances, aides à la navigation,... La première fonction [...] concerne le guidage automatique des avions au sol. Après avoir déterminé l'emplacement de parking et le chemin à suivre pour y parvenir, l'ADIS allume successivement les feux au sol et les panneaux de signalisation adéquats pour guider le pilote.
