Estado de intoxicación humana por ingestión de alcohol etílico. Puede presentar diversos grados, desde el prácticamente inocuo hasta el grave, que puede provocar la muerte, pasando por los diferentes estados de embriaguez.

OBS

Según la legislación española, la alcoholemia se mide en gramos por litro de sangre, pudiendo ser sancionada por las Autoridades de Tráfico o ser causa de exclusión de cobertura en el Seguro de Automóvil, cuando la tasa de alcohol sea superior a 0,8 gramos por 1.000 cc. de sangre.
