OBS

After Montreal hosted the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) convention in 1986, the impetus was gained to form a Montreal chapter, which occurred in 1987. ... Its goals include the promoting of Jewish library services and librarianship through education, establishing Judaic library collections, and providing technical assistance to these collections. The members also act as liaisons between Judaic and general libraries, and promote awareness of Judaic collections and their resource people.

Mission: To support the production, collection, organization and dissemination of Jewish resources and library services in the Montréal area; [and] to promote professional standards in the field of Judaica librarianship.
