The Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP) is a dynamic network of community and non-government organizations. ACAP assists 13 project sites or communities in developing comprehensive environmental management plans to restore and maintain environmentally degraded harbours and estuaries. Le Programme d'action des zones côtières de l'Atlantique (PAZCA) est l'un des quatre programmes de gestion des écosystèmes en vigueur à Environnement Canada. Dans le cadre de ce programme d'une valeur de dix millions de dollars et d'une durée de six ans, annoncé en 1991, on accorde un appui financier pour l'élaboration de plans exhaustifs de gestion de l'environnement en vue de rétablir et de préserver les milieux côtiers à treize emplacements.
