Les fruits sauvages. En été, les femmes Salishs cueillaient plusieurs paniers de baies. Les Salishs mangeaient des fruits frais et gardaient les autres pour les conserver. Pour les conserver, ils les pressaient et les faisaient sécher au soleil en petites galettes. Les galettes de baies étaient remplis de vitamines et cela permettait aux familles de conserver une bonne santé durant les longs mois d'hiver, quand il n'y avait pas de fruits à manger.
