Ces entiers sont souvent de taille limitée, généralement inférieurs à 2 puissance 31=2147483648 ou [...] 2 puissance 15=32768. Pour travailler avec des nombres plus grands, il faut utiliser des nombres en virgule flottante qui ne sont précis que sur les six ou sept premières décimales.
