blanket order: Sometimes referred to as "master contracts" for reducing the number of small orders. It provides for the supplier to furnish special commodities for a certain period of time and at predetermined prices or on the basis of a formula for revising prices due to market or other conditions.

Le gouvernement fédéral peut conclure un traité avec un État étranger dans un domaine qui relève des compétences provinciales et autoriser expressément les provinces à conclure des ententes avec ce même État étranger à l'intérieur des limites tracées par ledit traité. L'exemple typique de cette situation nous est donné par l'Accord culturel entre le Canada et la France conclu en 1965.
