Technique simple et intéressante. Au lieu d'installer immédiatement la fibre, il suffit de mettre en place des gaines de polyuréthane entre les salles informatiques et chaque prise de données. Ainsi, dès qu'il devient nécessaire de tirer une fibre jusqu'au bureau, il suffit de l'enfiler dans la gaine à l'aide d'air comprimé. Inversement, la fibre peut ensuite être retirée et remplacée par une autre. (Minis et Micros No 329, 16 octobre, 1989)
