As part of the EI [employment insurance] Legislation the ceiling for repayment was reduced, as well, the recoupment rate was increased depending on past usage. This adjustment calculation is based on Benefit Repayment information received from revenue Canada (RCT) pertaining to a specific SIN [social insurance number] and Tax Year and is determined by claimant completion of either Chart 1 or Chart 2 on the back of the T4E.
