The Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society is a registered non-profit charity organization supported by 1000+ professional Calgary Firefighters. [It is] comprised of a 5-member executive supported by a board of directors.

[The members] dedicate and volunteer [their] off-duty firefighting hours towards raising funds and awareness for the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Centre at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta. This fundraising ensures that money is available for upgrades, as necessary, to the highly specialized equipment. It also provides the burn unit health care team with opportunities to attend continuing education programs to remain current in new treatment techniques. The money [donated] is accumulated through various fundraisers, public and private donations.
