Canadian Music Competitions Inc/Concours de musique du Canada Inc. Umbrella organization founded in 1970 in Montreal and Toronto by Claude Deschamps, Hélène M. Stevens, and Denyse Raymond to establish and co-ordinate high-level performance competitions in each province of Canada (leading to national finals), with the dual aim of discovering young musicians of exceptional talent and achievement and of preparing them for international careers through the provision of bursaries and performing opportunities.
