Canadian War Memorials, 1918, is a collection of paintings and sculptures dealing with the First World War. The works were commissioned by the War Records Committee, headed by Lord Beaverbrook and administering a fund established by the Canadian Government.

OBS

In 1916, Sir Max Aitken, Lord Beaverbrook, a Canadian who had settled in England, took it upon hemself to form a committee that would oversea the creation of an official pictorial record of Canada's effort in the First World War Memorials.
