In 1943, the government again closed the wheat futures market as a war measured and, in 1947, The Canadian Wheat Board Act was passed to continue emergency powers given to the Canadian Wheat Board during war conditions in 1943. These powers were extended in 1949 to include oats and barley marketing.

En 1943, le gouvernement fermait de nouveau le marché à terme du blé, comme mesure de guerre, et faisait adopter en 1947 la Loi sur la Commission canadienne du blé, Commission qui héritait des pouvoirs d'urgence conférés à la Commission du temps de guerre en 1943. En 1949, ces pouvoirs étaient étendus à la commercialisation de l'avoine et de l'orge.
