CANPASS - Private Boats program. This program combines a telephone reporting system with a pre-approval permit for recreational boaters travelling to Canada from the United States. CANPASS participants, who have been security cleared, may call customs up to four hours prior to their arrival, and obtain clearance to enter Canada. They may then land at any government-approved dock or marina.
