OBS

The idea of a Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) was conceptualised during the late 1980s out of the annual conference of Caribbean Water Engineers. In 1991, the Association was registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 1991) in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and is committed to the advancement of the science, practice, and management of water supply and waste disposal for the benefit of Caribbean people through the development of human resources, public education, and professionalism, as well as promotion of appropriate technologies in the water, wastewater, and solid waste sector. Since its inception in 1992, the major activity of the association has been its annual conference which is hosted on a rotational basis among the various Caribbean countries.
