La sonde de Carlens. Autrefois en caoutchouc rouge, aujourd'hui en PVC [chlorure de polyvinyle], elle est faite pour intuber la bronche gauche. Elle comporte un ergot qui s'appuie sur la carène et limite le risque de déplacement. L'ergot rend l'introduction plus difficile et peut se détacher et tomber dans les bronches.
