Le but de la Chambre est de travailler au bien-être économique, civique et social de la ville de Gaspé et au développement de ses ressources. Cet organisme sans but lucratif a aussi pour mission de favoriser le développement économique et social par son rôle de catalyseur auprès des entreprises de Gaspé. Elle tente d'assurer le maintien de conditions socio-économiques propices à la croissance des affaires et de voir au développement des secteurs commercial et touristique de son territoire tout en défendant les intérêts de ses membres.
