A cell survival curve describes the relationship between the surviving fraction of cells (i.e. the fraction of irradiated cells that maintain their reproductive integrity (clonogenic cells) and the absorbed dose. 1, record 1, English, - cell%20survival%20curve

Quelques heures après une première exposition aux rayonnements, on retrouve pour la deuxième exposition une courbe de survie superposable à celle observée après une exposition unique. En particulier, l'épaulement est identique. Ceci signifie que, pendant le laps de temps qui sépare les deux expositions, les lésions sublétales des cellules survivantes se sont réparées. Quand les conditions sont telles que la division cellulaire est artificiellement ralentie, le taux de cellules survivantes est accru; les cellules ont alors plus de temps pour réparer les lésions avant la réplication de l'ADN et la mitose. Ce phénomène est en rapport avec l'existence de lésions potentiellement létales, qui peuvent soit entraîner la mort de la cellule, soit ne pas s'exprimer, soit se réparer complètement. 1, record 1, French, - courbe%20de%20survie%20cellulaire
