The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, and is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy and health promotion to transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues. We have central facilities located in Toronto, Ontario and 32 community locations throughout the province. CAMH est le plus grand centre canadien de sciences de la santé se consacrant à la maladie mentale et à la toxicomanie. Un de nos mandats consiste à soigner les personnes gravement atteintes de maladie mentale ou de toxicomanie. Pour ce faire, nous avons plus de 600 lits en établissement et de nombreux services de consultations externes, en milieu hospitalier ou communautaire. Nos autres mandats touchent la recherche, l'éducation et la promotion de la santé. Notre mandat de recherche va de la génétique moléculaire et de l'imagerie cérébrale aux traitements cliniques, en passant par la recherche sociale et la recherche sur les politiques. Sur le plan de l'éducation et de la formation, notre mandat s'étend de l'éducation et de la sensibilisation de la population aux programmes universitaires de premier, deuxième et troisième cycles, et à la formation continue des professionnels de la santé.
