The Centre for Biologics Evaluation (CBE) is responsible for the regulation of whole blood and its components; blood derived products; viral, bacterial and cancer vaccines; cells, tissues, organs and xenografts. One of the key functions of CBE includes evaluation of quality and clinical data for determining the safety and efficacy of products prior to sale in Canada.
