Le Centre de formation en entreprise et récupération de l’Outaouais fut incorporé en avril 1992 sous le nom Environnement Jeunesse Outaouais. [...] Environnement Jeunesse Outaouais devenait officiellement en 1994, le deuxième CFER au Québec après celui de Victoriaville en s’appelant le CFER Outaouais. [...] Depuis 2004, le CFER a initié un virage opérationnel important en délaissant le tri des matières recyclables au profit d’une nouvelle activité; le recyclage des vieux ordinateurs.
