A separate Office within Public Works and Government Services Canada has been established for the procurement of support for the CF-18 Fighter aircraft. This includes the establishment of a capability in Canada with Bombardier, Canadair Defence Systems Division to provide Engineering support and repair and overhaul services for airframe and airframe components, contracts to utilize this capability, and any other new requirements that may be identified for the support of the CF-18. It is expected that the Department of National Defence will require ongoing support for the CF-18 for several years. Public Works and Government Services Canada and the Department of National Defence are the departments in charge of this Major Crown Project.

Un bureau de projet distinct a été créé à l'intérieur de Travaux publics et Services gouvernementaux Canada pour les marchés de services de soutien pour l'aéronef de combat CF-18.
