The Chaplaincy Program helps the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) to meet national and international commitments with respect to the promotion of religious rights and obligations of offenders. The Program is administered by CSC's Chaplaincy Division, which serves as liaison between CSC and the various faith communities in Canada that are represented on the Interfaith Committee on Chaplaincy. The Division also provides advice to CSC on policy issues relating to religious practice.

Le Programme d'aumônerie aide le Service correctionnel du Canada (SCC) à respecter ses engagements nationaux et internationaux pour ce qui est de la promotion des droits et des obligations des délinquants sur le plan religieux. Le Programme est administré par la Division de l'Aumônerie du SCC, qui fait le lien entre le SCC et les diverses communautés religieuses du Canada représentées au Comité interconfessionnel de l'aumônerie. La Division conseille aussi le SCC sur les politiques touchant aux pratiques religieuses.
