Método diseñado para crear determinados cambios en un locus diana de una secuencia de ADN, de interés tanto para la terapia génica como para la investigación de la función de los genes. Consiste en introducir un ácido nucleico sintético formado por ADN intercalado con pequeñas cantidades de ARN, en la célula Diana donde se aparea con la secuencia génica Diana.
