These newer extinguishers use "clean agents" that are discharged as a rapidly evaporating liquid that leaves no residue. These clean agents include hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCCF), hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), perfluorocarbon (PFC), or fluoroidiocarbon (FIC).
