Where an OSC [on-scene co-ordinator] or CSS [co-ordinator surface search] has been designated, the OSC/CSS shall be responsible for the following tasks to the extent they have not been performed by the responsible RCC [Rescue Co-ordination Centre]/MRSC [Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre]: Carry out the plan for the conduct of the operations as requested by the RCC/MRSC. Modify the plan as facilities and on-scene conditions dictate and inform the RCC/MRSC of any such modifications. Monitor weather and sea conditions and report on these at regular intervals to the RCC/MRSC. Maintain communications with the RCC/MRSC and the SAR [Search and Rescue] units on the scene. Modifier le plan en fonction des moyens, de l'équipement et des conditions, et en informer le RCC/MRSC rapidement. Surveiller les conditions météorologiques et l'état de la mer, et en faire rapport régulièrement au RCC/MRCS. Maintenir la communication avec le RCC/MRSC et les unités SAR participant à l'opération.
