Concepts in quantitative techniques used in integrating digitally derived spatial data will be explained, including an overview in multivariate statistics. Techniques to be covered include discriminant analysis, fuzzy logic, neural networks, favourability functions, and others. Case study examples to be presented include landslide prediction. This one-day workshop will consist of about two hours of lecture followed by practical work on personal computers.
