The Controlled Products Regulations are federal regulations developed under the Hazardous Products Act. They are part of the national Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). The regulations apply to all suppliers (importers or sellers) in Canada of controlled products intended for use in Canadian workplaces. The regulations specify the criteria for identification of controlled products.
