CRANK CHEEK [1 record]

Record 1 2004-12-14

English

Subject field(s)
  • Machine Shafts, Journals and Swivels
OBS

Each crank (throw) of a shaft consists of three parts, two webs and a pin ...

OBS

On some crankshafts, part of the web ... extends beyond the main journal to form or support counterweights ... [this] balances the offcenter weight of the individual crank throws and thereby compensates for centrifugal force generated by each rotating crank throw.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Arbres et tourillons (Composants mécaniques)
DEF
